“God blessed us with bike, man modified it and along came Rajputana customs”
One of the leading bike customization firm in our country, the brain child of Mr. Vijay Singh. Rajputana creates machines of no comparison. Words like breathtaking, beautiful, astonishing are simply not enough to describe the works of art.
Our Team Member Amritansh Mishra gets into a friendly chat with Mr. Vijay Singh that gave us the insight into all that we need to know about Rajputana Customs.
Ques: Where are you guys located?
Ans: Jaipur...in the basement of my house
Ques: Whose brain child is Rajputana customs and when did Rajputana actually come into being?
Ans: I thought of setting up the business and did so on 2nd Feb 2010.
Ques: Which was your first project?
Ans: My bike O.G (Original Gangster)
Ques: Are all your bikes built to order or do you plan on a production model as well?
Ans: All the bikes are built on an order basis
Ques: Are all your bikes for Indian clients or do you have any of these machines sent over seas as well?
Ans: So far we have only sold bikes within the domestic market...however, we have 3 orders from England that we will soon start to work on.
Ques: Where do you see this firm in the next 10 years? Any big plans for the future?
Ans: I am not big on plans...just gotta build one bike at a time and make sure its up to the mark....the rest will take care of itself.
Ques: Are all these bike parts indigenously available or do you have to import any as well?
Ans: We import our tires and rims apart from which everything else is made in-house.
Ques: A rough idea how much one has to shell out for one of your bikes?
Ans: Our bikes cost anywhere between 70,000 to 7 lakhs and take anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months to build....the price and time depends on the extent and complexity of the build.
Ques: Some random info that you might want to share about Rajputana? Something that I might have missed out or which would be of interest to us all?
Ans: Rajputana Customs is a serious hobby of mine which has now grown immensely...nonetheless, we dont plan on building a lot of bikes every year...maybe do 12 odd in a year...catering to a niche is our strong-point and we're much happier settling with quality over quantity. In a nutshell we are happy building bikes in the present manner and pace that we are working on and we intend on keeping it that way for quite some time to come.
We at Der Motorrad wish Rajputana Customs all the very best for their future Endeavours.
