With all the bike companies trying to prove their line up to be the best, many companies are coming with little tweaks and upgrades to keep the models fresh and competitive. Yamaha Motor India, following the trend recently refreshed their 150cc fighters with a few tweaks or "practical changes" as they like to call them. With the engine sadly remaining untouched, the bikes are surely going to face a rather tough time with the kind of premium price tag they posses. But lets not forget that these bikes are hit in the market and their is an endless list of young enthusiasts for the Fazer, FZ as well as the FZS. The bikes surely look pretty in the new colours and the changes but it would be too much to call them refreshing.

The old pillion seat and grab rail |
* New stylish Grabrail
* Longer & Wider Pillion seat with softer padding
* New Graphics
* New colour scheme
* New colour of the exhaust
* Longer & wider rear fender(mudguard)
* New stylish & practical chain protector with more protection to the chain
* Premium of Rs 1500 approximately
It would not be wrong to say that some of the changes look rather odd, like the longer rear fender which we belive spoils the look of the bike. The new chain protector also seem to be taken from the R15 and doesn't really fit with the overall naked look of the bike. These changes have made all the three products dearer by Rs. 1500 approximately.
The new color scheme of FZS include :
* Fiery orange
* Black cyber green
* Sunset red
* Competition white
While the FZ still comes in :
* Lava red
* Midnight black
The new color scheme of Fazer include :
* Midnight black
* Black cyber green
* Lava red
* Competition white
With all the little changes it still remains to see the response of the customers. So lets wait and watch.
Stay tuned for more only on Der Motorrad.
